Fitness Friday 3/13

Ooooo, Friday the 13th!  Are you superstitious?  I'm not really, but it's fun to think about black cats, walking under ladders, stepping on cracks, and whatnot.  =P  Make sure your activity stays up today with this mini workout.  Originally posted for Thanksgiving, 2014 (hence the Autumnal background), it's back and ready for action a second time!

FITNESS FRIDAY 3/13

Jumping Jacks - well, you know what those are.

Side Plank Dips - start out in a side plank, either on your elbow (easier) or up on your hand (harder).  From this position, dip your hips down, keeping your feet stacked and shoulder over your wrist/elbow.  Raise it up to slightly higher than starting position.  Repeat on each side.

Tricep Dips - grab a chair and get ready to work the arms!  Place your hands on the edge of the seat, extending your feet out in front of you with your legs straight.  Lower yourself down to just above the floor, making a 90-degree angle with your elbows.  Come back up.  If you need to make this easier, bend your legs and place your feet flat on the floor.

Step-back Lunges - start in a standing position and step back into a lunge.  Keep your knee in line with your ankle when you're down in the lunge, and chest up/gaze forward to keep the airway open.  You can do either all on one side first and then switch, or alternate legs as you go.
