Cardio Conditioning Series: Northern RI Collaborative
As part of my Health Educator position at Preventure, I am leading a cardio conditioning exercise class for the Northern RI Collaborative administration group. The class meets every Wednesday in the first 4 weeks of April from 4:00pm-5:00pm. This class is designed for the Northern RI Collaborative administration group only. Registration is required.
A bit about the program:
This class is designed to improve cardiorespiratory efficiency, stamina, and endurance through movement that elevates the heart rate and burns calories. While the emphasis is always on cardio conditioning, the format may vary class to class from long and strong endurance segments to interval training, while maintaining the goal of enhanced cardio performance. The class format is tailored to all fitness levels by offering modifications that are safe and effective for each level. Cardiovascular conditioning has been shown to reduce body fat, decrease total cholesterol, boost mood, lower resting heart rate, and improve heart and lung function. Participants are required to provide their own equipment, unless otherwise indicated.
